Conclusion
So what can we take from all of this?
It appeared at the time that the special interest lobbyists had secured the support
of the Conservative party to make changes to the Condominium Act that
are agreeable to them. It was far too early to tell what the Liberal's
Bill will look like.
Rosario Marchese's Bill was killed when premier Dalton McGuinty
prologued the legislature in late 2012.
Yet, Bill 72 pushed the Liberals into preparing their own Bill as it
was clear that political pressure was building for condo reforms.
The Ministry of Consumer Services started working on revisions to
the Condominium Act which may be introduced
in the legislature sometime in 2014. (Now looks more like
2015.)
