HOA president arrested for threatening men with gun

An HOA president is facing criminal charges for threatening a father and his son with a gun in an Orange County neighborhood.
The incident comes amid the fallout over the death of Trayvon Martin.
George Zimmerman said he was acting as a neighborhood watch volunteer
when he shot the teenager.
Police say the HOA president used a gun to threaten the two in an
Oakland neighborhood. Officials say the HOA president believed the two
were trespassing.
According to the police report, the man was yelling at people and
cursing at them to slow down as they were trying to drive out of the
gated community.
Michael Hudzik is the 65-year-old president of the homeowner’s
association for the upscale John’s Cove community. But people who live
there have doubts about his leadership.
He’s very rude and disgusting
“He doesn't know how to handle the position; he doesn't know how to be
president in the community... He's very rude and disgusting,” said one
neighbor.
The resident didn’t want to be identified because she fears
retaliation, especially after hearing about Hudzik’s arrest Tuesday
night.
A father and his young adult son had been visiting a neighbor and
riding jet skis on the community lake. When they started to drive out
of the neighborhood, Hudzik allegedly screamed at them. The father and
son say Hudzik then pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot the father.
Several neighbors say Hudzik has a short temper and is constantly
yelling at people. No one answered when a WFV news crew knocked on his
door.
A few neighbors told WFTV they knew Hudzik carried a gun, and now they are concerned.
“Do you think it could escalate to the point like we saw in Sanford?”
WFTV reporter Jeff Deal asked. “Trayvon Martin? Yes, definitely.
Someone needs to stop him now,” responded neighbor Shelby Clay.
Some residents told WFTV they hope after this incident, he’ll be voted
out as HOA president. Hudzik faces a charge of aggravated adult with a
deadly weapon. He is out of jail on a $5,000 bond.
