An unofficial YCC
#42 website
In February 2013, an owner/resident started a York Condominium
Corporation #42 website.
Claiming to be an unofficial site,
the writer had
information that only a resident that was active
in the condo's politics would be privy to. It was
certainly not the work
of any of the directors.
The site was well done with good graphics and up-to-date news. The author was well informed about the criminal
activities occurring on the
property and it was clear that the website was intended to pressure the board into making
changes especially with improving security on the property.
By June 2013, the website was shutdown.
In this, it was preceded by a
newsletter that ran from October 2012 to the end of that year when the
writer, an unsuccessful candidate for the board of directors,
was
persuaded to stop publishing as the newsletter was showing the condo in a bad
light.
Showing the condo in a bad light? There was nothing published in either
the newsletter, or on the website, that came close to being as negative
as the news that was shown on the nightly television news and the daily
newspapers by the middle of June 2013.
