Cult of personality
“I feel like my friends are in a cult
because we're like, 'No outsiders!”
—Leighton Meester
There are many
personality cults, big and small
There is little worse than a president who has been in office for ten
or more years who feels that he owns the office and who treats any
owner who wants join the board as an enemy.
If a board finds that their president—sometimes it is the
treasurer—considers himself to be indispensable to the corporation,
then you may be stuck with a ten-cent Mussolini and the sooner the
board removes him from the presidency, the better it will be for the
corporation.
