TORONTO - A veteran property manager who advertised for an office job is now charged with sexually assaulting a woman who applied for the job on two separate occasions, Toronto Police said Tuesday.

Det. Dawn Eagleson said the employment ad was posted on a web classified section earlier this month.

The woman was sexually assaulted at his office in northeast Scarborough following the job interview.

Eagleson said the victim was allegedly sexually assaulted a second time on a separate occasion.

"The essence of what happened, it was understandable" that police weren't contacted the first time, she said without elaborating.

But after investigating this incident, Eagleson suspects "it's possible he's been at this for a little while — but I don't know for sure.

"I would just like people to come forward" if they had a similar experience,
she said.

Kandiah Sivaneswaran, 57, is charged with two charges of sexual assault.

Anyone with information is asked to call Eagleson at 416-808-4204, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477 or online at 222tips.com.
