Bay County condo renters arrested for allegedly failing to pay owners
Bay County, Fla— The owners of a property management company failed to
pay condo owners, according to the Bay County Sheriff's Office (BCSO).
And now, they've been put in their place.
Nathaniel Tice, 42, and Jessica Delauder, 35, were arrested this week
and charged with fraud and grand theft for 11 victims who said the two
owners of Vacation Place Rentals were not making rental fee payments.
In January, a condo owner filed a complaint with the BCSO saying t he
had not received any rental fee payments from the Panama City
Beach-based property management company since mid-2016. They were
reportedly supposed to be managing the rental of his condo.
After that the complaints from additional owners started piling up.
While investigating the case, the BCSO Financial Crimes Unit said the
suspects blamed their financial troubles on a previous employee, who
the couple said took their money and didn't pay taxes.
After a detailed examination of their financial records, as well as
interviews with Delauder and Tice, investigators obtained a warrant for
their arrest.
