The records are incomplete
After a long hassle, you finally get to examine the condo's records but
there is one problem, you didn't get to see everything you asked for.
From what I understand, this is common at some condo corporations. The
records you asked for may be:
• deemed to be confidential.
• are said to be in the archives and will take time to retrieve.
• claimed to be lost or misplaced.
• have not yet been approved by the board.
• no reason is given.
The best response is to list the missing records and request that the
corporation make them available. Write the one letter. Do not pester by repeated requests or make any verbal demands upon the
manager.
Then you must decide whether or not you are prepared to make an
application to the Condominium Authority Tribunal (CAT). The CAT began accepting applications on 01 November 2017.
