Condo construction
“It is not the beauty of a building you should look at; its the construction of the foundation that will stand the test of time.”
—David Allan Coe

Almost all new housing in Changchun consists of condominium apartments.

Older three to six-story walk-ups are being replaced with new six-floor to thirty-floor towers. The first one or two floors are for retail and commercial units, residents on top and all parking is underground.

The first task is to remove the existing buildings and get the land ready for construction.

The old five floor walk-up apartment building has been torn down and the foundation is being dug.

The footing are driven into the ground.

The foundations and underground parking levels are then built.

The underground parking levels and the lower levels are complete. The steel rebar is in place and the concrete is getting ready to be poured.

The staircases for the numerous lobbies are in place. Each lobby will have a single elevator and an emergency staircase.

The building frame is almost completed.
